Lifehacker Dion Almaer's Simple Path To Losing 100 Pounds

In under one year, Dion Almaer of Lifehacker dropped 100 pounds. With an obese body, it's hard to keep up a diet or exercise routine. Instead, Dion took an easy route to lose 1/3 of his body size. He didn't start with working out or cutting down his meals - he started by eating quality food.

Quality food kicked off his progress. By eating better alone, he lost 20 pounds in his first 2 weeks. That simple step upped his energy levels. Dieting and working out then came easy.

It makes sense. We're spoiled - in the wrong way. Processed junk is sold to us in convenient packages, with low quality energy and high concentrations.

We might be fooled by such convenience, but our bodies aren't. It won't be long until our bodies realize. And then, we get hungry sooner and eat more. Without nutrient balance and too many calories, we feel tired easily and start losing motivation to work out. We quickly descend into a vicious cycle. We become fat.

Ok, at a first glance, fast food may be cheaper and faster. But, you eat less often when you eat real food. And, you spend less on energy potions, self help info, and medical bills. Plus, real food gives back the health and wellness you deserve.

Lots of people can't get over the idea of eating odd foods like tongue or cheeks. But, they eat lunch meats made from these animal bits everyday! If you're adventurous, you can buy meat at 1/10 the cost. And, there are plenty of amazing exotic cut recipes.

Get a food scale to save time and money. You clean fewer dishes by measuring all the ingredients in a single bowl. And, you don't waste foods that get stuck to measuring cups. This waste might seem small, but it adds up over time.

Eating well isn't as easy as pressing a couple buttons on a vending machine, but investing in real food will pay you and your family back many times more. Break the cycle, start eating better today!
